fCNH Global, based in Racine, Wis., named Richard Christman president of Case's IH agricultural equipment business, succeeding Leopold Plattner, who stepped down June 30. Christman, 50, joined Case in 1975, serving most recently as senior vice president of strategy and business development. He also has served as senior vice president of global development. Christman is chairman of the Equipment Manufacturers Institute in Chicago.

Joseph Tibensky was named vice president of marketing at United Rentals, headquartered in Greenwich, Conn. Most recently, he was the senior vice president of marketing at Konica Photo Imaging.

Terex, headquartered in Westport, Conn., appointed Chris Ragot president of Earthking.com. The site is an Internet marketplace for fleet management and the sale of new and used construction and mining equipment. Ragot was the vice president of sales and marketing for Terex Earthmoving.

Cleveland-based Lincoln Electric appointed Matthew Fleming rental sales manager. He has been with the company since 1989, serving most recently in the international business development department.

Harold Simmons III, chairman and CEO at Winneconne, Wis.-based tool and machinery maker Rothenberger USA, died of kidney cancer at age 59. He was based at the company's Monterey Park, Calif., manufacturing plant.

Stone Construction Equipment, based in Honeoye, N.Y., announced four personnel changes. Dick Nisbet was named vice president of manufacturing, Ted Pappas and Terry Sullivan district sales managers, and Ray Kaszniak regional manager. Nisbet has been with the company since 1971, serving most recently as operations manager.

George Long was elected to the Entertainment Services and Technology Association electrical advisory panel. He is the national event coordinator for Aggreko Event Services in Houston.

Hyster MidEast, based in Cincinnati, named John McMahan human resources manager, Steve Platt regional product care sales manager and Mike Cody regional equipment sales manager. Platt and Cody will oversee operations in the company's southern region.

David Rayburn was appointed to the board of directors at Twin Disc in Racine, Wis. He is the executive vice president of operations at Modine Manufacturing in Racine.

Atlas Copco, owner of Houston-based Prime Service and Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Rental Service Corp., named Ellen Steck vice president of e-commerce for its rental service business unit. Previously, she managed sales and marketing for the largest independent telephone and wireless companies in Minnesota.

Mike Ariens was elected chairman of the Alexandria, Va.-based Outdoor Power Equipment Institute. He is the chairman of Ariens Co. in Brillion, Wis. William Docherty, executive vice president of sales and marketing at MTD Products in Cleveland, was elected vice chairman, and John Mowder, president of Coffeyville, Kan.-based Dixon Industries, was elected secretary/treasurer. Other newly elected OPEI board members are American Honda's Patrick Curtiss, Lesco's Jeffrey Mack, Toro's Kendrick Melrose, Deere's Mark Rostvold, Murray Inc.'s L. Edward Shultz, Textron Turf Care's Philip Tralies, Ryobi North America's Akio Urakami, Simplicity Manufacturing's James Wier and David Zerfoss of Husqvarna Forest and Garden.

Dallas-based Schaeff of North America announced the additions of Udo Boersch as vice president of sales and marketing, Frank Baker as Southwest regional manager and Brian Hodgson as Southeast regional manager. Boersch spent nearly 10 years with Hamm Compactors. Baker and Hodgson each have 20 years of industry experience.

John Lembezeder was named national sales manager at Mi-T-M in Peosta, Iowa. Previously, he was the men's basketball coach at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
