Fil Filipov, president and CEO of Terex Cranes, Westport, Conn., retired January 1, 2004, from full time employment with the company. Filipov will continue, through a newly formed consulting company focused on restructuring activities, to serve Terex as consultant working on special projects. Filipov has committed to consult with the company for a period of three years for a minimum of 26 weeks a year. Initially, Filipov and his company will assist with the restructuring, integration and operation of Tatra, the company's newest acquisition. As part of this assignment, Filipov will continue in his role as chairman of the supervisory board of Tatra.

Stephen Fox was recently appointed vice president, product support, with full responsibility for all parts and service business for JCB Inc. Fox has been with the company for 17 years in sales and service management positions, working with equipment dealers in Europe, and North and South America.

Multiquip Inc., Carson, Calif., promoted Mike Ferguson to vice president of sales for the company's General Construction Equipment group. In his new position, Ferguson assumes responsibility for all Multiquip GCE U.S. and Canadian sales divisions including GCE Sales, Concrete/Masonry Pump, Concrete Placing and Finishing, Concrete/Masonry Cutting, and STOW Construction Equipment. MQ Power, Carson, Calif., a North America power generation supplier, announced the return of David Brown as the company's vice president. He will oversee all MQ Power sales and operations. Brown most recently served as general manager with Kohler Power Systems. He was MQ Power's vice president from 1999 to 2002.

West Fargo, N.D.-based TerraMarc Industries announced the addition of Bruce Anderson as Load-n-Lift sales manager for its new trailer division. Anderson is responsible for developing and implementing sales plans, hiring and managing independent sales representatives in the rental/construction industry and developing a network of dealers throughout North America.

Lexington, Ky.-based LBX Co., parent company to Link-Belt Earthmoving, Forestry and Material Handling Equipment, named Michael Davis vice president of marketing and sales. Davis is responsible for all North America and international sales and marketing for the full range of the company's equipment.

Because of their rapid growth over the past few years, Electrolux Construction Products and its sister company Husqvarna Turf Care, both have new presidents as of Jan 1. Anders Berggren, current president of Husqvarna Turf Care, has been appointed president of Electrolux Construction Products North America, Olathe, Kan. Succeeding Berggren at Husqvarna Turf Care in Charlotte, N.C., is Henric Andersson from Electrolux Professional Outdoor Products in Sweden.

Thompson Pump & Manufacturing, Port Orange, Fla., appointed Daniel Tylski branch manager of its Kansas City branch. Tylski's duties include supporting the sales, rental, service and repair efforts of the branch and all the customers in the territory.

Atlas Copco Construction Tools has installed a nationwide network of service representatives for its newly expanded line of large hydraulic breakers. As part of this network, the company announces the appointment of six new service managers and hydraulic hammer specialists. Keith Becker is managing the new Atlas Copco Service Center in Austin, Texas; Matt Cadnum is the manager of the Cleveland Service Center; and Jim Jodoin is the western region service manager, serving eleven western states plus Alaska and Hawaii. Rich Elliott was appointed eastern region service manager, covering territory in the U.S. east of the Mississippi; Kevin Loomis was appointed to hydraulic applications manager and will also serve as the lead trainer; and Wayne Shero was named Texas regional center sales and remarketing manager. He will oversee the remarketing efforts that will take place via the existing dealer network, auctions, the Internet and export.

John Herc joined Stone Construction Equipment as regional manager. Formally with DANA Corp., Herc will be responsible for the management of the southern region's direct and indirect sales representatives.

Lincoln Electric Holdings appointed Vinod Kapoor as vice president, Cleveland Operations. Previously, In his new position, Kapoor will have overall operations responsibility for the company's machine and consumables divisions.
