FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — In keeping with its evolution as a full-service provider, NationsRent has taken on distributorship agreements with Case Construction Equipment, Sullivan-Palatek and Link-Belt.

NationsRent became a full-service Case dealer covering most of Massachusetts, all of Rhode Island, and most of Connecticut. The dealership will be headquartered in Shrewsbury, Mass., with additional branches in Hyde Park and Woburn, Mass., and Newington, Conn. Two sites selling basic parts only will be located in Worcester, Mass., and Cranston, R.I.

As a factory-authorized Case dealer offering sales, service, parts and technical support, these NationsRent locations will provide a comprehensive range of Case products and services, and all NationsRent employees who support the dealership function will receive the appropriate technical training directly from Case. NationsRent has hired industry veteran James McGinley as dealership general manager responsible for dealer operations, reporting directly to NationsRent's northeastern regional vice president Bill Stewart.

“This move is a significant step in our strategic direction towards a full-service offering,” said NationsRent CEO Jeff Putman. “The Case dealership is both complementary to our rental business and critical to our ability to provide sales, parts and after-the-sale support to our customers.”

NationsRent was also named by LBX Co., makers of Link-Belt earthmoving, forestry and material-handling equipment, as the authorized distributor of Link-Belt excavators and material-handling equipment in Florida. NationsRent will provide full customer and rental options for its customers. LBX markets and sells Link-Belt excavators, forestry and material-handling equipment throughout North and South America.

“Link-Belt excavators have a loyal customer base in Florida, as does NationsRent,” said Mike Davis, director of marketing for Lexington, Ky.-based Link-Belt. “Striving to make contractors successful is what this partnership is all about.”

NationsRent was also appointed by Sullivan-Palatek as an authorized dealer for its portable air compressor division for Texas and Louisiana. Based in Michigan City, Ind., Sullivan-Palatek manufactures electric and diesel-driven high-performance rotary screw air compressors, along with accessory items including air dryers, filters, remediation systems and construction air tools.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., NationsRent is No. 6 on the RER 100.
