MQ Power Corp., a division of Multiquip Inc., Carson, Calif., has developed a re-rental division to help its dealers compete in the generator rental market, according to the company. Its first facility, in Houston, is under the supervision of fleet manager Jerry Wilkerson.
The new division is designed to educate dealers about the power generation market. The fleet is exclusively designed for the MQ Power dealer and does not re-rent to the end-user, the company said.
Dealers also have the ability to build equity and apply it toward the purchase price of any unit they decide to own rather than re-rent, the company said. Dealers can draw from an available inventory of large generators and accessories, including cable, distribution panels and a full line of auxiliary fuel tanks.
