The shortage of qualified service technicians in the outdoor power equipment industry will be a primary topic discussed at the Equipment & Engine Training Council's annual meeting April 25-27 in Charlotte, N.C. The event, sponsored by Husqvarna Forest & Garden Co., will be at the Charlotte Hilton Hotel.

Kubota Tractor Corp., Torrance, Calif., will donate 1,000 gasoline engines to schools and colleges across the country to aid in the training of technicians. To qualify for a donation, schools must offer EETC-certified courses taught by OPE-certified instructors.
