Rogers

Rogers' Ultima trailers offer unitized frames, fabricated with 100k psi and 130k psi materials, and are designed to provide the strength and durability needed for severe-duty conditions. The patented NoFoot non-ground engaging gooseneck enables the operator to clear obstructions by raising or lowering the deck a full 32 inches without a ram-foot touching the ground. Its powerful, low operating pressure permits quick, easy height adjustment on any terrain with the pull of a handle. Specialized Ultima models offer a selection of payload capacities, deck styles, gooseneck lengths and other options and accessories designed to simplify any hauling need.

Bill Gano, founder of Gano's Heavy Hauling in Long Valley, N.J., has been using Rogers trailers for more than 20 years and has a 55-ton Ultima model in his fleet. “Everyone at Rogers gives their personal touch, except I hardly need to talk to them because nothing ever breaks,” Gano says.

The new Switch-N-Go detachable truck body system allows truck owners the interchangeability of truck bodies and the ability to load heavy cargo from ground level without a lift truck or a dock. It also allows full dump capability just like a dedicated dump truck, and owners can have multiple truck bodies, which can be changed out in five minutes for another body. This system is designed to allow trucks to maneuver in tight spaces.

Robert Mendez of Rancho Recreation Park in Simi Valley, Calif., uses the dump body, stake body and chipper body and likes the Switch-N-Go system because it saves space and is versatile. “This system allows us to have only one truck to store and maintain, yet three quite different uses with the quick-change bodies,” Mendez says.

AmeriDeck

The AmeriDeck SuperDeck and ChoreMaster units transform any full-sized pickup truck into a versatile utility vehicle. The AmeriDeck units use a 2,000-pound capacity truck-mounted hydraulic lifting mechanism that can be equipped with either a cargo deck or dump body to suit a variety of applications. The SuperDeck and ChoreMaster load up to 1 ton of cargo from ground level into the truck in less than 1 minute with the touch of a button. Because all loading and securing of cargo is done at ground level, the risk of injury and damage to cargo is virtually eliminated. The platforms are easily detached and may be left at jobsites for use as refuse containers. The AmeriDeck units install in less than 2 hours in any full-sized pickup and require no modifications. For those wishing to frequently remove the lifting mechanism or routinely switch the unit from truck to truck, a quick mount option is available.

Landoll

The new Model 435 traveling axle trailer from Landoll features the lowest load angle available at 6.5 degrees to accommodate low clearance loads, according to the company. This four-beam trailer is a tandem axle configuration available in 48-, 50- or 53-foot lengths. The newly designed 435's upper deck transition has been flattened to provide very low clearance. The trailer features an increased deck rating of 50,000 pounds within 10 foot standard with a 38-foot loaded deck height. This trailer can be ordered with “galvanizing” for superior rustproof protection. All Landoll trailers feature LED lights, apitong hardwood decks, 25,000-pound axles, full 4S2M ABS brake system, 2-speed landing gear and hub pilot wheels with outboard brake drums.

JLG Industries

Triple-L (Lower, Load, Lift) trailers incorporate a power deck hydraulic system that allows the operator to lower the deck to ground level, load the trailer, then lift it hydraulically in less than 15 seconds. The trailers have capacities up to 10,000 pounds and decks as large as 6-feet-wide by 16-feet-long. With their drop-deck design, they make hard-to-load equipment a one-person job. Triple-L trailers are available in three styles including flat bed, utility and enclosed. The utility models have 24-inch-high sidewalls on three sides with a tailgate available as an option. The fully enclosed trailers protect equipment from inclement weather and keep it secure. The trailers are all steel-welded construction with powder-coated finish and include lockable storage compartments.

Karl Moilanen of Cloverdale Equipment Co. in Oak Park, Mich., bought a Triple-L from Madison Heights, Mich.-based National Ladder for use in his rental center. Before Moilanen purchased the Triple-L, he used a wood deck trailer for delivery, which was modified with a dove-tail on the back and had landscape ramps for loading. This worked for some applications, but Moilanen found that he needed to mount a winch on it for others. Sometimes when he went to pick up electric-powered machines such as scissorlifts off rental, they weren't fully charged, and didn't have enough power to be driven up the ramp onto the trailer. They then had to be pulled onto the trailer with the winch. “Now, since the bed on the Triple-L trailer lowers to the ground, one person can load just about anything,” he says.
