Columbia's Expediter model is now available in a 4-wheel version. Users desired a 4-wheeled, highly maneuverable personnel carrier for use in their facilities. Many prefer 4-wheel vehicles, yet require electric vehicles that can operate in confined and restricted areas, demanding the turning performance normally associated with 3-wheel vehicles.

“The 4-wheel Expediter provides the rental industry with a narrow-aisle, highly maneuverable electric personnel carrier for rental customers who demand 4-wheel transportation to meet their indoor and outdoor transportation,” says Scott Breckley, vice president of sales and marketing.

The new 4-wheel Expediter option (EX21-F) provides users with an alternative to 3-wheel vehicles without sacrificing performance. With a 168-inch outside turning circle, this vehicle provides efficient, quick and safe operation. In addition to the 4-wheel provision, the company has virtually eliminated the potential for the unit to bottom out on steeper grades and ramps by raising the rear portion of the body by 2 inches.

Other features include front wheel guards, integrated front bumper and chamfered corners, and optional automotive style steering wheel. The front body design assists in preventing mud and water from splashing while operating the vehicle. It has a reverse warning alarm, console mounted safety directional key switch, brake light and horn, deck height, ground clearance, rated capacity and speed characteristics.
