Metabo

Metabo's D-handle rotary hammer is designed to reduce operator reaching and fatigue in both down-drilling and overhead drilling applications. The KHE D24 SDS keeps the operator's hand and arm in line with the hole being drilled, minimizing fatigue while maximizing drilling pressure and provides extra control over the tool. The new hammer is designed for hammer drilling, chiseling or rotary drilling and features a rotation stop, which allows for chiseling or chipping, or for setting self-drilling anchors. Up to 1-inch diameter holes can be drilled into concrete, block, brick or stone using SDS-Plus carbide-tipped drill bits.

Bobcat

The Bobcat concrete pump attachment is designed for contractors who routinely work in residential areas within confined yards. Bobcat representatives say the attachment avoids the need for contractors to hire a concrete pumper truck to deliver concrete to hard-to-reach areas. And by limiting the need for a pumper truck on the jobsite, contractors can protect underground utilities and prevent damage to driveways, sidewalks and finished landscaping. Either side of the concrete pump attaches to the Bobcat loader for better positioning. The hoses are then connected, and the concrete mix is fed into the hopper and pumped to the jobsite. The pumping hoses can be routed through small openings, under decks, through bushes, across rivers, and around trees and buildings.

MBW

MBW's ScreeDemon wet screed features several mechanical improvements. The link between engine and eccentric is a low-cost, durable, flex coupler. High maintenance flex-cables or rigid shafting is eliminated. The ScreeDemon also couples to its screed bar via a compression lock. There are no holes in the screed bar to compromise integrity and no hardware passing through the bar. Because the ScreeDemon assembles to and is removed from the bar in seconds, cleaning and transport are facilitated. The magnesium screed bar is designed to work within the natural frequency of the screed/bar combination. The back-to-back double triangular design is rigid and offers comparatively uniform vibration along the full length of the bar. The result is a more uniformly vibrated slab complete with uniform fine depth at the surface.

Wacker

Wacker's new CT line of walk-behind trowels features a system to protect the operator from an out-of-control spinning handle. When the operator is using a Wacker trowel and lets go of the handle, a gyroscopic safety sensor detects the motion of the handle and stops the engine before the handle reaches a 45-degree rotation. This engages the gearbox brake, which will stop the handle rotation within a 270-degree rotation. This system protects the operator from being struck by a runaway handle. An engine rev-limiter senses rapid engine acceleration during starting procedures and will not allow the operator to start the machine at full throttle, eliminating runaway handle rotation during restarts. The trowel handle design is a combination of Wacker's curved handle design and the traditional bike handle, and offers maximum control and comfort for the operator.
