Numerous performance improvements and increased durability enhance the new John Deere C-Series II Motor Graders that provide power, productivity, durability and comfort to operators working in any grading application.

Improvements to the C-Series II graders provide enhanced reliability and durability. Significant enhancements were made to the power train to provide longer life and improved reliability, and the new front axle offers a tighter turning radius and reduced tire wear. The new machines also feature an improved fan drive system with an easy-to-service 14-rib poly-vee fan belt that is four times stronger, and a lube-for-life drive shaft resulting in significantly lengthened service intervals and durability. In addition, optional bronze wear inserts for the blade circle and draft frame reduce maintenance, keep the circle tighter and last much longer than previous wear inserts.

“Operators will notice the graders have exceptional pull in tight, cul-de-sac turns,” says Marty Ruhter, motor grader program manager, John Deere Construction and Forestry Division. “Expanded features and precise control of the Series II front wheel drive system provide substantial benefits in slope work, heavy pulls, finish grading, snow removal and all poor traction conditions.”

Serviceability was an important consideration during the design process of the C-Series II. All daily service is accomplished from the left side of the machine, so the service technician doesn't spend time walking around the machine while performing routine daily maintenance. The C-Series II machines also have retained the ability to change the circle wear inserts in less than an hour with a common 9/16-inch wrench.
