The John Deere ZTrack Pro Z925 zero-turn mower with electronic fuel injection can provide up to 25-percent fuel savings for landscape contractors, the company says. A closed-loop injection system constantly monitors engine performance. Fuel injectors respond to the load on the engine with the right amount of fuel. “With a closed-loop system, the engine actually checks for unused oxygen in the exhaust multiple times per second,” says product manager Jamie Palmer. The 27-hp engine includes a Tuff Torq integrated transmission, which features 13cc piston-style pumps and 13cc wheel motors for increased efficiency. A cross-porting system routes the coolest hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump doing the most work. The unit offers a 54- or 60-inch 7-Iron PRO mowing deck. The 54-inch deck includes mulch-on-demand technology. Other features include the height-of-cut adjustment system and brake-and-go starting system. www.deere.com/wps/dcom/en_US/regional_home.page
