Skyjack has partnered with KFR Mietlifte GmbH, a German customer to provide a donation to Lebenshilfe Munster, as association that provides space, support and guidance for people and families with disabilities. In addition to a monetary donation shared by Skyjack and KFR Mietlifte Gmbh, the rental company also ordered a pink SJIII 3219 to brighten spirits.

“This is a charity that’s very close to our hearts and we were excited to get the chance to give back,” said Marc Reinkenhoff, general manager of KFR. “We wanted to give the children an activity that they’ve never done before, and I think we did that with our pink Skyjack.”

The electric scissorlift with a platform height of 7.79 meters made a perfect canvas for the children at Lebenshilfe Munster. The pink scissorlift arrived at the Munster-based association in early January and representative from Skyjack, KFR Mietlifte and Lebenshilfe Munster were onsite for the event.

“We arrived with the SJIII 3219 and the children’s excitement at such a wonder was really great to see,” said Andreas Stumpf, sales and operations manager for Skyjack Germany. “It got even better when we brought the paint out and told them they could decorate the machine however they’d like.”

The monetary donation provided by both companies will help fund Lebenshilfe Munster’s housing solutions. They provide families with both short and long-term accommodations. The short-term accommodations are aimed at providing families with support for day-to-day care for a period averaging three days to three weeks. The long-term facilities assist by providing full-time housing and support for those children who can no longer be cared for at home.

“We’ve been doing business with KFR Mietlifte GmbH for a few years now delivering a range of DC scissors, rough terrain scissors, and booms to their rental yard,” said Stumpf. “They came to us for the opportunity to partner for a monetary donation, as well as provide them with a very unique-looking scissorlift and we wanted to be a part of it right away.”

The decorated SJIII 3219 will stay in KFR Mietlifte’s rental fleet and the company is donating 10 percent of the unit’s rental revenue to Lebenshilfe Munster. At the end of the year, Skyjack will match KFR Mietlifte’s donation two to one, the company said.
