Riwal, the aerial work platform and telehandler rental specialist, has named Nick Field country manager of its German operations. Also Riwal has added two new depots to better service existing and new customers.

Field will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of the Germany country strategy in line with Riwal’s regional and group strategy. Field has extensive experience in operations management through previous leadership positions in car rental fleet services, modular building and aircraft leasing. Field will replace Wolfgang Roth, who served as a consultant and country manager on an interim basis.

Nick Field is the new country manager of Riwal’s operations in Germany.

As a result of strong expansion of Riwal’s German customer base and related growth of its rental fleet, the Rhine-Main branch was relocated to larger premises in Bingen to accommodate the increased business levels. After starting activities in the Stuttgart region in early 2013, the company decided to accelerate expansion plans at the Ingersheim branch with increased workshop capacity and yard storage area. Riwal expects to add to its rental fleet in both locations.

“I am delighted about these positive developments in Germany,” said Wayne Lawson, Riwal’s regional director. “The experience Nick Field is bringing into the Riwal team and the expansion of two of our depots is supporting our vision to deliver the best customer experience in the industry. These initiatives are integral to our depot network expansion plans to provide broad coverage to our customers.”

Riwal, based in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, has operations in 17 countries on three continents, and has an aerial work platform fleet of more than 13,000 units.
