LiuGong and Dressta Combine Singapore Offices

Jan. 29, 2014

Global construction equipment manufacturer LiuGong Machinery’s Asia Pacific subsidiary will now house the Asia Pacific arm of Dressta Co., Ltd. at its Singapore headquarters located at Tuas Loop. LiuGong acquired HSW’s civil engineering machinery division and its distribution arm, Dressta Co, Ltd. in January 2012.

”The successful integration of both businesses marks a tremendous opportunity for LiuGong to achieve further growth in this region,” said Joseph Wong. “We see Dressta colleagues as our extended family members. Hence, not a single staff member was laid off during the integration of LiuGong and Dressta.”

Wong has taken on the role of general manager of Dressta Asia Pacific, while retaining his current position as customer service director of LiuGong Machinery Asia Pacific.

Liugong Machinery Asia Pacific and Dressta Asia Pacific are wholly owned subsidiaries of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Corp. The 45,000-square-foot facility in Singapore serves as its sales and marketing hub, parts distribution center, technical support and training center for Southeast Asia, Australia, Korea, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and other islands in the region.

LiuGong Dressta Machinery manufactures high-quality crawler dozers at its plant in the Podkarpackie province in southwestern Poland. The company also produces wheel loaders, loggers, pipe layers, conveyer belt shifters, motor graders and machines customized for landfill applications.

“The combined distribution network will allow us to bring the expanded our product line to more dealers, more efficiently, and offer better support for both LiuGong and Dressta customers,” Wong said.

LiuGong Machinery Corp. is a leader in China’s construction equipment manufacturing industry.
