FortRent, the joint venture between Ramirent and Cramo, has placed its first order with Snorkel for nine Snorkel A38E electric articulating booms. Cramo and Ramirent, two of northern Europe’s largest equipment rental companies, each own a 50-percent stake in FortRent, which they launched in March of this year, combining forces to capture rental market growth opportunities in Russia and the Ukraine.
FortRent has branches in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Kaluga in Russia, and Kiev and Osessa, Ukraine.
“The Snorkel A38E has always been a popular machine in this region, so I have every confidence that these lifts will deliver a great return on investment for FortRent,” said Wim Jansink, Snorkel district manager for Central and Eastern Europe.
