Torcomp, a Brazilian manufacturer that supplies Volvo Construction Equipment with components, broke ground recently for a $7 million factory in the Cumberland Valley Business Park, heraldmailmedia.com is reporting. Torcomp already has a working relationship with Volvo CE in Brazil, where it makes components for chassis.

Torcomp also makes components and parts for Honda, Ford, Volkswagen and construction equipment manufacturer Ford New Holland.

The Cumberland Valley Business Park’s location was attractive to Torcomp because of its proximity to Volvo’s Shippensburg, Pa., facility, as well as the Keystone Opportunity Zone tax-abatement program, said Torcomp president Fabrizio Giovannini.
