Terex AWP President to Address Europlatform Conference

Tim Ford, president of Terex Aerial Work Platforms, will deliver the keynote address at the Europlatform access rental conference on Sept. 15, at the Atahotel Expo Fiera in Milan, Italy. The conference will take the theme of “Access Rentals: Ready for the Rebound?”

Tim Ford, president of Terex Aerial Work Platforms, will deliver the keynote address at the Europlatform access rental conference on Sept. 15, at the Atahotel Expo Fiera in Milan, Italy. The conference will take the theme of “Access Rentals: Ready for the Rebound?”

The one-day conference is dedicated to access rental management issues and is targeted at senior management. It is jointly organized by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and its official magazine Access International.

Other speakers include Cees van der Kooij, chief operating officer at Loxam, who will speak on “Ten Things not to do in a Recession”, and Antonio Gómez de la Vega, director of JLG Financial Solutions, who will look at how the financial crisis has affected access to capital for rental companies. Chris Sleight, editor of Construction Europe, will discuss trends in the European construction markets, while Simon Rooks of Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions will examine an accident that occurred and how this has changed what Tyco expects of its rental partners. Emanuela Pirola, editor-in-chief of Macchine Cantieri, will examine the size of the Italian access rental market.

In addition to these speakers, there will be an Access Rentals Roundtable, with participants answering questions from the audience. The panel will include:

  • Mendes Migotto, managing director of Venpa3
  • John Ball, managing director of Height for Hire Ireland and president of IPAF
  • James Horsfall, senior vice-president of software company Result Group.
