Finland-based international rental company Ramirent, responsible for all construction machines, fencing, access platforms, horizontal transportation equipment, scaffolding, site modules and their installation at the Helsinki 2012 European Athletics Championships, has begun making deliveries to the Olympic Stadium site. Deliveries of equipment have begun, including 260 meters of fences for temporary site protection, and a 10-foot steel container for storage use.

Ramirent will also be delivering more than two kilometers of fencing around the VIP facilities at the Event Park and the Eläintarha Sports field. Ramirent will be supplying equipment for the construction of the technical tower required for televising the events, and building access ways.

Challenges for the project include a large number of installations within a short time period, security arrangements, numerous operators from different fields, permit issues and other arrangements differing from normal construction sites, as well as the unique location near the center of Helskinki.

Ramirent has 406 branches in 13 northern, eastern and central European countries. The company is based in Vantaa, near Helsinki, Finland.
