The board of directors of Ramirent last week appointed Magnus Rosén the company’s new president and CEO. Rosén is expected to assume his position as of Jan. 15, 2009.

Rosén joins Ramirent from the BE Group, a leading steel trader, where he has served as head of the Sweden business area. Prior to joining the BE Group, he was employed by the machine and equipment rental company Cramo Group, where he served during his past six years as the senior vice president, Scandinavia. Additionally, he has served as managing director of BT Hyrsystem, a rental operation within BT Industries, a leading forklift manufacturer.

“We are highly pleased to appoint Magnus Rosén as our new president and CEO,” said Peter Hofvenstam, board chairman of Ramirent. “His track record constitutes an excellent background to further develop the Ramirent platform. Magnus' strong leadership skills and result orientation will be an important asset going forward.”

“This is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to taking the helm of Ramirent,” Rosén said. “The entrepreneurial spirit in the company and Ramirent’s diversified market portfolio provides a strong base for further profitable growth.”

Rosén succeeds Kari Kallio, who earlier this year advised the board of directors that he wishes to retire in 2009.

Helsinki, Finland-based Ramirent is a leading machinery rental company in the Nordic countries and in Central and Eastern Europe.
