Cork, Ireland-based crane and plant hire company William O’Brien Plant Hire has been acquired by William O’Brien Jr. in a deal valuing the business at about £15 million (about U.S. $30.6 million).

Cork, Ireland-based crane and plant hire company William O’Brien Plant Hire has been acquired by William O’Brien Jr. in a deal valuing the business at about £15 million (about U.S. $30.6 million).

The valuation includes the company’s existing debt, believed to be about £5 million. O’Brien Jr., who acquired the company from his parents and siblings, has been the managing director of the business since 1999.

O’Brien Jr. said he is committed to growing the 50-year-old company, which has spent about £16 million over the past few years.
