Netherlands-based rental company Boels is acquiring 225 JCB compact excavators. The order was secured by JCB’s subsidiary JCB NV and is the largest order Boels has ever placed with JCB.

Netherlands-based rental company Boels is acquiring 225 JCB compact excavators. The order was secured by JCB’s subsidiary JCB NV and is the largest order Boels has ever placed with JCB.

The order includes 100 JCB 8008 micro excavators, and the remaining units include 8018, 8025, 8035, 8050 and 8085 models, all manufactured at JCB Compact Products in Cheadle, Staffordshire, U.K.

The Boels business, based in the Maastricht region, started in 1977 when Pierre Boels Sr. began a small tool rental company from his garage with a single grinding machine. Today the company has more than €200 million in fleet, more than 215 branches and operates from more than 1,200 rental locations in hardware stores in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Poland.
