JCB Reaches 100,000 Machine Sales in India

U.K.-based equipment manufacturer JCB is celebrating manufacturing and selling 100,000 machines in India. Most recently the company has launched its new JCB backhoe loader the JCB 3DX Super and JCB 3DX XTRA in India.

JCB India CEO Vipin Sondhi said JCB’s recent expansion of its facility in Ballabhgarh, India, makes the facility the largest backhoe loader production facility in the world. JCB has invested 7.5 billion rupees (about U.S. $160 million) in its plants in Pune and Ballabhgarh.

JCB India will also start manufacturing its JCB 444 engine line for backhoe loaders before the end of this year.

JCB is believed to be the leading seller of construction equipment in the backhoe loader, tracked excavators, compact equipment and wheel loader markets in India.
