JCB India Launches Domestically Built Diesel Engine Line

JCB India Ltd. has launched its own domestically built 16-valve diesel engine to power its equipment range. In India, JCB engines have already clocked more than 50,000 hours of rigorous testing in adverse climatic and geographic conditions across various models. More than 600 machines in different variants are already working in India. The engines launched by JCB in India have been designed and manufactured along the same platform as its Dieselmax engines. Beginning this month, JCB India will produce about 40,000 engines per year at its facility in Ballabgarh, India.

Beginning this month, JCB India will produce about 40,000 engines per year at its facility in Ballabgarh, India.

These latest technology engines will offer immense fuel efficiency to our customers. We will immediately start powering our backhoe the 3DX with JCB engines and many other models in our range will follow.”

The JCB engines will come in the range of 76 to 150 hp and will be naturally aspirated, turbocharged or common rail.

“At various levels, the service engineers in the dealerships have received comprehensive training on the JCB engine, to ensure they’re in the right stead to serve our customers,” added Sondhi. “Parts for the engines have already been stocked at JCB warehouses and our dealerships. All JCB dealerships across India are now fully prepared to support the JCB engine.”
