Inaugural Bauma ConExpo India Show Viewed Positively

The Bauma ConExpo show held February 8 to 11 in Mumbai, exceeded all expectations according to organizers and participants, with more than 22,000 visitors from 69 countries. The event, held for the first time, was a joint venture between Messe Munchen International, which organizes the Bauma tradeshow in Munich, and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, organizer of ConExpo.

The Bauma ConExpo show held February 8 to 11 in Mumbai, exceeded all expectations according to organizers and participants, with more than 22,000 visitors from 69 countries. The event, held for the first time, was a joint venture between Messe Munchen International, which organizes the Bauma tradeshow in Munich, and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, organizer of ConExpo.

“The overall numbers are outstanding,” said Dennis Slater, AEM president. “I am convinced that bC India will indeed play a very important role in the Indian market.”

Organizers and exhibitors praised the quality of business visitors and the facilities. Entry was free to pre-registered visitors.

“bC India is not only an image-branding show but also a selling show,” said Dr. Thomas Schulz, president of construction at Sandvik, which sold more than 200 units during the show.

Exhibition space totaled 88,000 square meters, with 508 exhibitors from more than 30 countries participating. Australia, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, and the United Kingdom showcased technology produced in their countries at international pavilions.
