The world’s largest truck mount, the 103-meter (about 338-foot) ATA 1003 from Wumag, will mark the gathering of European access experts at the first Europlatform conference on Sept. 11, at the Ramada Plaza Basel hotel in Switzerland. “The 103-meter platform will be a spectacular sight,” said Tim Whiteman, managing director of International Powered Access Federation, which is co-organizing the event with industry publication Access International. “It will complement the excellent panel of speakers that we have lined up for Europlatform.”

The one-day conference is dedicated to access platform safety and rental management issues, with quality presentations aimed at executives, senior managers and owners of access rental companies across Europe. The speakers include senior management from companies such as Lavendon, Haulotte, A-Plant and Zooom, as well as a safety engineer from the Swiss safety authority Suva.

The conference will be held in English. There will be a table-top exhibition that attendees are free to visit. Ticket prices are €295 (about U.S. $406) for IPAF members and €395 (about U.S. $544) for non-members for bookings until Aug. 31. To register, visit www.europlatform.info.

IPAF is a not-for-profit members’ organization that promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment.
