Cummins Plans to Double Sales in China

Cummins Inc., a global manufacturer of engines and related technologies, last week said it plans to more than double its sales in China by 2010 as it expands operations in the world's second-largest auto market.

Cummins Inc., a global manufacturer of engines and related technologies, last week said it plans to more than double its sales in China by 2010 as it expands operations in the world's second-largest auto market.

The Columbus, Ind,-based company in 2005 topped $1 billion in sales in China. The company said it aims to reach annual sales of more than $2.5 billion by 2010. Cummins plans to spend more than $100 million to develop its research and manufacturing facilities there.
