Atlas Copco this week inaugurated a customer center in Panama to provide closer support to its growing customer base in Central America and the Caribbean.

The new customer center, Atlas Copco Central America S. A., will market products such as drill rigs, consumables and parts for both underground and surface operations. The customer center also offers exploration, construction and ground engineering equipment and compressors. The company has already delivered drilling rigs to the Panama Canal expansion, an important project in the region.

“We see good business opportunities in this dynamic region, especially in construction,” said Björn Rosengren, business area president Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique. “The new customer center provides a solid base for growth and enables us to offer customers a wider range of products and give them closer support.”

The customer center will initially employ about 15 people.
