Stockholm, Sweden-based Atlas Copco recently established a new, fully owned customer center in Angola, to strengthen its offering to customers in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.

The new customer center, Atlas Copco Angola Lda, opened Feb. 1. It offers a full range of Atlas Copco equipment, as well as aftermarket products and services, for rapidly growing customer segments such as construction, mining, oil and gas as well as manufacturing. The headquarters are in the capital, Luanda.

“By establishing this new customer center we are strengthening our commitment to existing and future customers, who will enjoy the benefits of shorter delivery times and better service,” said Ronnie Leten, business area president, Atlas Copco Compressor Technique. “Considering the rapid pace of Angola’s economic growth, this is an important market for us to be directly present in.”

Atlas Copco has been represented in Angola through distributors for almost 50 years. It is the local market leader in compressed air and construction and mining equipment. The new customer center operates as a part of the Compressor Technique business area.
