AEM Plans ConExpo Russia for September ‘08

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers last week announced the formation of ConExpo Russia in response to manufacturers seeking improved opportunities to showcase products and technologies to the growing Russian marketplace. The inaugural show will be held September 15-18, 2008 in Moscow.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers last week announced the formation of ConExpo Russia in response to manufacturers seeking improved opportunities to showcase products and technologies to the growing Russian marketplace. The inaugural show will be held September 15-18, 2008 in Moscow.

ConExpo Russia will focus on construction, forestry and utility equipment. AEM is organizing the event in conjunction with the Exhibition and Marketing Centre, a Moscow-based organizer. ConExpo Russia is supported by key government agencies, AEM said, as well as contractor groups and major manufacturers. Organizations such as the Russian Association of Regional Highway Administrations, NEDRA (a Russian manufacturers association), the Russian Builders Union and the Russian Builders Association have endorsed ConExpo Russia.

Already committed to exhibit in 2008 are Blount, Caterpillar, Chetra, Finval-Story Co., GOMACO, JCB, Komatsu, Kominvest AKMT, Manitowoc, RemTechStroy, SZLK/Astec/RoadTec, SANY, Terex and Volvo, among others.
