The first World of Concrete Mexico was held earlier this month with more than 5,700 attendees and about 200 exhibitors from Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. World of Concrete Mexico featured an educational program offering 54 training hours divided into 27 sessions, with seminars presented by industry experts from Japan, Mexico and the United States.

“From the very first visitor at our booth, we were overwhelmed with a large number of outstanding prospects that had a genuine interest in buying or distributing [our products],” said David Husson, international sales manager for Marshalltown Co.

“As part of our ongoing business growth plan, ATMI Canada has recognized the Latin American market as being very important to our future,” said Geoff Chambers of ATMI Canada Ltd. “World of Concrete Mexico 2004 was the start of our entry into that market. The results far exceeded our expectations. The concrete industry in Latin America is thirsty for knowledge about new technologies in the industry and we received considerable interest.”

World of Concrete Mexico is a joint project organized by Hanley Wood LLC, E.J. Krause de Mexico and the Mexican Institute for Cement and Concrete. World of Concrete Mexico 2005 will be held June 15-17, at the Banamex Center in Mexico City. More information can be obtained from www.worldofconcretemexico.com.
