United Rentals last week announced the opening of its newest trench safety rental branch in Coachella, Calif. The 36,855-square-foot facility will provide customers with underground construction equipment rentals, sales and service and a comprehensive line of contractor supplies.
"Development in the Coachella Valley is being driven by state and federal economic incentives," said Chuck Leiker, branch manager for United Rentals. "There is a lot of undeveloped land available for new construction. Our branch is ideally located to serve customers in one of the fastest-growing regions in Southern California."
The new location will rent the latest technologies in steel and aluminum trench shields, aluminum trench shores, steel sheet pile with modular walling systems, steel crossing plates and custom slide rail systems, as well as a range of confined space ventilators, detectors and other equipment. United Rentals also offers delivery service, 24-hour emergency response service and professional safety training for customers.
In other company news, United Rentals also announced last week it is partnering with Blastrac to provide surface preparation equipment to its rental customers. Blastrac is exiting its own rental channel and instead will direct its rental customers to United Rentals. This move expands the availability of Blastrac rental equipment and provides premium service to contractors across the United States.
United Rentals will offer Blastrac equipment including grinders, polishers, scarifiers, saws, scrapers, strippers, shot blasters and heavy-duty dust collectors for concrete.
