Charlotte, N.C.-based Sunbelt Rentals will outfit its fleet of class 8 transport vehicles with Right Weigh Load Scales as a preventative safety measure, the company said.

“We are continuing to install Right Weigh Load Scales on our rollback and tractor-trailer units,” said Byron Adkins, Sunbelt corporate safety manager. “The ease of installation, accompanied by the effectiveness of the onboard scales to maximize our dispatch capabilities, helps our drivers quickly identify the accurate weights of the loads being transported.”

Legal trailer weight and balanced loads are a growing concern for rental companies today because of the growing number of regulations, Right Weigh officials said. “They [Sunbelt Rentals] recognize the serious safety implications of maintaining legal weights and balanced loads at all time,” said Andy Mount, Right Weigh’s managing director.

Sunbelt Rentals is No. 3 on the RER 100.
