Komatsu Zenoah America, Norcross, Ga., has made 100 RedMax chainsaws available to FEMA for use in the Gulf states' Katrina clean-up efforts.

In addition, regional manager David Pickard kicked off the company's assistance initiative by personally delivering a large number of chainsaws, bars, oil, fuel mix, gasoline, food, water and ice to B&B Distributing in Biloxi, Miss., for distribution to where it is needed in that community.

Upon his return, Pickard reported, “It’s the worst hurricane devastation I've seen in my 25 years of serving the Gulf Coast region."
