New Zealand rental company Hirequip enjoyed a net profit of $5.1 million for the six-month period through December 2004, up from $3.7 million for the same period in 2003. The result included profits of the sale of a property development.
The company predicts strong results in 2005, even though some business segments could weaken in the United Kingdom during the next 12 to 18 months, particularly in the area of residential construction.
