Carson, Calif.-based Multiquip Inc. has expanded its parts and service support capabilities through the launch of SmartEquip’s e-CommercePro Enterprise system. Now fully integrated with the company’s operating system, parts, service and support capabilities include real-time inventory searches, fully integrated on-line order entry and fulfillment, and real-time shipping status, all accessible from Multiquip’s Web site.

SmartEquip’s e-CommercePro Enterprise provides a single source for parts and service documentation on every Multiquip product -- including intelligent electronic parts catalogs, easily accessed operator manuals, troubleshooting guides, safety notices, and electronic specifications. The system includes ordering and tracking capabilities for parts ordered electronically via the Internet.

“Multiquip is committed to using advanced technology to make our end-users, dealers and rental company customers more successful, in this case by fully automating the parts-ordering process, and adding availability and shipping status information in real time,” said Multiquip president Roger Euliss. “With parts orders created directly in our business system, we significantly improve the accuracy of orders, increasing our customers’ efficiency while freeing up our customer service representatives to spend more time providing world-class technical support to them.”
