Home Depot will open a new store next to Wal-Mart in Charlottetown, P.E.I., Canada, later this month. With about 950 tool rental departments in North America, Home Depot has been growing its presence in Canada. Vice president of pro business and equipment rental Joe Dixon recently told RER the company expects to have close to 1,100 tool rental departments in North America before the end of 2004.
Atlanta-based Home Depot Rental is No. 7 on the RER 100.
