Foley Inc., the Caterpillar dealer for Northern New Jersey, Staten Island, N.Y., and Bermuda last week hired Carol Hample as 6 Sigma Black Belt and Rita Maxham as corporate purchasing manager.
Hample has years of experience at AT&T. At Foley, she will lead 6 Sigma project teams to re-engineer business processes to eliminate redundancies and reduce defects. She will be responsible for developing project plans, implementing solutions, recruiting and training employees.
Maxham, with a background in management reporting, spare parts management, project management, returns processing and logistics management, will be responsible for centralizing and automating the purchasing function for the organization and the direction of day-to-day purchasing efforts. In her role, she will be expected to enable Foley to meet its business targets while doing more to leverage collective purchasing mass.
