Welding Giant Red-D-Arc Acquires U.K.’s Hember

Red-D-Arc Welderentals, North America’s leading welding equipment rental company, has expanded its presence in the United Kingdom with its acquisition of Hember Ltd., a Warrington, Lancashire-based provider of rental welding equipment and associated welding products.

Red-D-Arc Welderentals, North America’s leading welding equipment rental company, has expanded its presence in the United Kingdom with its acquisition of Hember Ltd., a Warrington, Lancashire-based provider of rental welding equipment and associated welding products.

Hember was founded in 1974 and grew to five locations with branches in Bridgend, Barton, West Thurrock, Warrington and Southampton. Red-D-Arc now has seven locations in the U.K.

Red-D-Arc Welderentals, an Airgas company, has a fleet of more than 60,000 welders, 3,700 weld positioning and weld automation products, and more than 1,600 electric power generators. The company has more than 70 service centers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and the Middle East, as well as through Airgas Construction Stores.

Based in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, Red-D-Arc Welderentals is No. 23 on the RER 100.
