Jerry Carroll, the “Willow Spring Wildman,” will perform Saturday, Aug. 29th at the Raleigh Little Theatre in Raleigh, N.C. Comedian Larry Weaver will also be featured. The show will benefit the Raleigh Food Bank and the Carolina Hurricanes’ Kids ‘N’ Community Foundation.

“We need events like this to continue to show contractors and the community that we care,” said Ed McHale, general manager of the Volvo Rents store in Raleigh. “We’re grateful to our construction customers for their support in this effort, and to the Raleigh Little Theatre for providing the venue.”

Matt Kazam will perform Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Bossier City, La. Comedians Billy D. Washington and Jerry Wayne Longmire will also perform.

The Bossier City show will benefit Operation More Care, the Volvo Rents initiative to support the military, retired and active. In addition, all veterans and soldiers from the Barksdale Air Force Base and their adult family members will be admitted to the show for free.

In addition, members of the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be on hand selling Hardhat T-shirts and DVDs of the original 2-hour show. All profits from those sales will go to MDA.

Volvo Rents’ Operation More Care is a philanthropic endeavor that supports local and national charities, including sending care packages to U.S. troops overseas and local food banks.

Volvo Rents, based in Asheville, N.C., is No. 19 on the RER 100.
