Fred Taylor, CEO and owner of Southeast Construction Rental, last week announced he has purchased the JustRuss Rental stores in Birmingham and Calera, Ala., and has converted them to Volvo Rents centers.

Volvo Rents, a division of Volvo Construction Equipment, carries a comprehensive line of equipment for the construction, commercial and industrial markets, as well as an extensive line of Volvo compact excavators and wheel loaders, and backhoe and skid steer loaders.

The Volvo Rents in Birmingham will move to a new, yet-to-be-determined permanent location later this summer. The Volvo Rents in Calera will remain in its current location.

Both Volvo Rents centers are independently owned by Taylor. Rusty Gentry will stay on as vice president and general manager of both stores. Staff members will remain in their positions at both locations.

“We are excited to be joining the Volvo Rents family,” said Taylor. “Being part of such a respected brand boosts our ability to serve the Birmingham construction market. For example, our equipment fleet will increase dramatically as part of this endeavor.”

Volvo Rents has 81 equipment rental centers open in North America, 72 centers in Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria), and one in its international region (Mexico). For more information, visit www.volvorents.com.
