Volvo Rents’ Bullock Earns Fourth Franchise of the Year Award

Paul Bullock and family, which own the Volvo Rents franchise in Louisiana, were named Volvo Rents’ 2009 Franchise of the Year for the fourth consecutive year during Volvo Rents Circle of Excellence Awards. The awards were presented during Volvo Rents’ annual franchise convention held in February in San Antonio. The Franchise of the Year Award is given to the owner group that demonstrates strong store growth, return on fleet, receivables management, training attendance, marketing, branding and appearance.

Paul Bullock and family, which own the Volvo Rents franchise in Louisiana, were named Volvo Rents’ 2009 Franchise of the Year for the fourth consecutive year during Volvo Rents Circle of Excellence Awards. The awards were presented during Volvo Rents’ annual franchise convention held in February in San Antonio. The Franchise of the Year Award is given to the owner group that demonstrates strong store growth, return on fleet, receivables management, training attendance, marketing, branding and appearance.

The Bullock family opened its first Volvo Rents franchise in West Monroe, La., in 2003. They opened new stores in Alexandria, La., in 2004; Bossier City, La., in 2007, and Baton Rouge, La., in 2009.

“We gratefully attribute this award and our success to our terrific team of employees,” said owner Paul Bullock. “It is a testament of their hard work and effort to go the extra mile for the customer. Family ownership has given us the flexibility and opportunity to treat both our employees and our clients with a tremendous amount of care.”

The award for new franchise of the year went to Fairbanks, Alaska, owned by the Brice family.

Circle of Excellence Awards were also presented to the five top-performing franchises for 2009:
· Merced and Modesto, Calif., owned by Helder Garcia and Brian Silveria;
· Rochester and Ithaca, N.Y., owned by David Terry;
· Haverhill and Southborough, Mass., owned by Todd Miceli and Matt Carretero;
· Bryan/College Station, Texas, owned by Avery and Marty Walker;
· Little Rock and Pine Bluff, Ark., owned by R.C. Colburn, Roger Colburn and Troy Dodd.

The awards were presented by Mike Crouch, Volvo Rents vice president of operations.

Bullock and Walker became new members of the Volvo Rents Franchise Advisory Council.
