United Rentals earlier this month celebrated the grand re-opening of three renovated and expanded branches in Massachusetts. Each equipment rental location houses maintenance facilities and a full-service yard, and offers a broad range of contractor supplies.

Two of the branches are in Shrewsbury, focusing separately on aerial rentals, and trench safety and pump and power rentals. The other branch is in Ludlow.

“As a one-stop source for equipment rentals, supplies and support services, United Rentals is uniquely positioned to deliver added convenience to customers engaged in the construction process,” said Steve Nadelman, senior vice president - field operations and corporate real estate for United Rentals. “The move into these impressive new facilities expands our ability to serve our contractor, industrial, municipal and homeowner customers in Massachusetts.”

The renovations are part of the company’s network expansion plan, which United Rentals announced in 2004 to support its commitment to customer service in North America. The company added 36 rental locations in 2006. The Massachusetts branches are the latest of 15 major branch relocations completed by the company in the past year.

United Rentals branches offer a broad range of equipment for commercial and industrial construction, renovation and maintenance, as well as delivery and pickup services, certified safety and operator training, and 24-hour emergency response.

Greenwich, Conn.-based United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100. It has an integrated network of more than 690 rental locations in 48 states, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
