True Value Launches Electronic Ordering System at Spring Rental Market

More than 3,000 retailers and more than 1,000 vendors participated in True Value Co.’s recent True Value Spring and Rental Market in Orlando, Fla., the company said, as True Value Hardware retailers were presented with a new Just Ask Rental logo and a new Rental Electronic Ordering System to use when placing orders.

More than 3,000 retailers and more than 1,000 vendors participated in True Value Co.’s recent True Value Spring and Rental Market in Orlando, Fla., the company said, as True Value Hardware retailers were presented with a new Just Ask Rental logo and a new Rental Electronic Ordering System to use when placing orders.

“We introduced a variety of tools, resources and programs to help its rental retailers be successful in 2012,” said Michelle Henebry Finnigan, director, rental and MRO at True Value. “Talk was all about REOS — this new time-saving tool for busy retailers. In fact, more than 60 percent of the orders submitted to date have come through REOS, confirming our retailers’ desire to expedite online services.”

True Value is one of the world’s largest retailer-owned hardware cooperatives with sales of $1.8 billion in 2010. The co-op’s Grand Rental Station and Taylor Rental Centers are full-line general rental stores offering tools, party and event supplies and equipment, and contractor equipment to homeowners and professional contractors. The co-op’s Just Ask Rental members are rental locations within True Value Hardware stores. The rental team at True Value provides support and resources to more than 900 rental locations in the United States.
