Trico Lift last week named three new vice presidents: Pat Schmetzer, vice president of operations, Steve Phillips, vice president of safety and Andrew Volponi, vice president of logistics.

Schmetzer, a veteran of the aerial industry, will be responsible for Trico Lift’s daily operations and delivery of all parts and services at the company’s six branches. Schmetzer, who worked for Trico in the past as sales and training manager in Ohio and most recently worked as general sales manager for Bobcat Enterprises, will also oversee Trico Lift’s repair, maintenance and inspection services provided to outside companies and private aerial equipment owners.

Phillips is a former senior manager for Halliburton KBR and several other global companies. Phillips is responsible for Trico Lift’s complete risk identification and prevention efforts, including internal and external training sessions guided by OSHA and ANSI standards, and other audit and inspection services.

Volponi, a 12-year Trico veteran, was formerly vice president of operations and services for the company’s fleet of nearly 3,000 aerial units. Volponi will now direct the company’s expanded equipment life extension program at its fleet maintenance center in Millville, N.J., as well as all central dispatching services involving rentals, field service and transportation.
