Sunbelt Rentals today announced the opening of its newest Aerial Work Platform rental branch in Chesapeake, Va. The new location will open Oct. 27 and specialize in manlift and scissor-lift rentals. It will also provide classroom and hands-on AWP equipment training.

Sunbelt Rentals today announced the opening of its newest Aerial Work Platform rental branch in Chesapeake, Va. The new location will open Oct. 27 and specialize in manlift and scissor-lift rentals. It will also provide classroom and hands-on AWP equipment training.

The new facility covers three acres with 10,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. The location is one of six Sunbelt branches serving the Tidewater region. With $11 million in AWP inventory, it adds to Sunbelt’s $45 million of rental equipment fleet in the area.

Fort Mill, S.C.-based Sunbelt Rentals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ashtead Group plc, is No. 4 on the RER 100. Sunbelt’s extensive equipment fleet includes a wide range of general construction and industrial equipment, and is further broadened by specialty businesses serving the pump, power, trench shoring and scaffold markets.
