Strongco Finalizes Acquisition of Chadwick-BaRoss

Strongco Corp. this week said it has completed its acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of distributor Chadwick-BaRoss for U.S. $11.6 million. CB is based in Westbrook, Maine, with three branches in Maine and one each in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Strongco Corp. this week said it has completed its acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of distributor Chadwick-BaRoss for U.S. $11.6 million. CB is based in Westbrook, Maine, with three branches in Maine and one each in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

CB posted sales of about U.S. $44 million in its fiscal year ended Jan. 31, 2011.

“The acquisition of Chadwick-BaRoss is in line with our growth strategy and we expect it to be accretive to Strongco’s earnings in 2011,” said Robert Dryburg, president and CEO of Strongco.

Strongco has 26 branches in Canada and five in the United States and represents Volvo Construction Equipment, Case Construction, Manitowoc Cranes, Terex Cedarapids, Powerscreen, Skyjack, Takeuchi and others.

Based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Strongco is No. 82 on the RER 100.
