Aerial work platform manufacturer Snorkel this week said it will showcase only low-level access equipment at The Rental Show 2011, Feb. 28-March 2 in Las Vegas.
The company defines personal access as compact, portable lifts, generally designed to be used by one person and mainly for interior applications at heights under 40 feet. Low-level access is defined as machines with less than a 12-foot platform height and weighing less than 1,800 pounds.
“We believe that low-level access will undergo major growth in North America, as more and more people swap podiums and stepladders for lightweight, compact aerial lifts,” said David Smith, president of Snorkel North America. “Lightweight, compact lifts are a perfect fit with the Mom & Pop rental store ethos; relatively low-cost lifts that deliver an excellent return on investment. The Rental Show is a great opportunity for us to engage with these smaller, family-owned rental companies and further demonstrate our commitment to this sector.”
