Former Essex Crane Rental CEO Ron Schad has joined Liebherr Nenzing and will be responsible for sales of heavy duty crawler and foundation cranes in the upper Midwest states. Schad will be responsible for crane sales in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Schad resigned from Essex in April after a 14-year stint as CEO. Prior to joining Essex, he worked nearly 15 years with Manitowoc as executive vice president of its crawler crane business.

“Schad’s ties to both construction and rental customers make him a perfect choice for Liebherr’s sales efforts in the Midwest region,” said Gernot Schranz, president of Liebherr Nenzing U.S.A.

“This position provides me with the opportunity to stay in the industry while simultaneously doing what I enjoy most, helping contractors and equipment users find the perfect machine for their future lifting and foundation construction requirements.”
