The Scaffold Industry Association last week announced it will set up its first-ever exhibit at booth L-3114 in the lobby across from the North Hall entrances during ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008 in Las Vegas.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ranks scaffold and access accidents as one of the leading causes of workplace injury and death. It is SIA’s mission to promote safety in scaffold and access use by developing educational and informational material and programs, seminars and training courses, codes of safe practices and other training materials and safety aids. At the same time, the SIA works with legislative agencies like OSHA to develop better safety standards.
For more than 35 years, the SIA has protected and promoted the interests of scaffold and access equipment manufacturers, dealers and end users – through training, education, lobbying and networking.
