RSC Equipment Rental last week signed a three-year contract with the City of Olathe, Kan., to supply a range of small and large rental equipment including aerial equipment, skid steers, mini-excavators, trenchers, backhoes and attachments along with pumps, power generators and compressors.

RSC won the competitive bid because of its commitment to safety, equipment that is better than 98-percent current on manufacturer-suggested preventive maintenance, and access to 24/7 Customer Care for equipment needs day or night.

The recommendation to award was based on all evaluation criteria in the Request for Proposal.

“RSC had one of the most complete and comprehensive responses and earned the city purchasing staff’s recommendation,” said Russell Pankey, senior contract specialist for the City of Olathe.

“The City of Olathe is on the forefront of performance management of their programs, Green building and capital improvements,” said Erik Olsson, president and CEO. “RSC Equipment Rental is pleased to be partnering with a municipality that shares our values and focus on customer’s needs.”

Olathe is the second-largest city with a population of more than 120,000 among the 21 communities in Johnson County and the fourth-largest city in the state of Kansas. It is located 20 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based RSC Equipment Rental is No. 2 on the RER 100.
