Cardinal Sales, the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based manufacturers’ rep outfit led by Pat DeVitto, one of the rental industry’s most prominent and well-respected reps, is expanding into Ontario, Canada, DeVitto told RER. While marking 20 years as a manufacturers’ rep firm, Cardinal is believed to be the first United States-based rep firm to enter the Canadian market.

Joining the Cardinal team is Justin Edwards, who lives and will work in Scarborough, Ont. Edwards has sold construction supplies in Ontario for the past four years and will cover the newly expanded territory with Randy Konnick.

“We see the territory as an outstanding opportunity for Cardinal Sales,” DeVitto told RER. “There is a solid base of well-established Canadian customers that we believe are presently being underserved. Cardinal’s years of experience in selling and servicing the wholesale construction equipment and supply market should match up well with these service-oriented customers.”

Cardinal represents American Pneumatic Tool; Battery De-Mister; Benner-Newman, CoverTech Concrete Blankets; Cutter Diamond; Daniel Manufacturing; Grun Co.; Huskie Hydraulic Hammers; Mi-T-M Corp.; UpRight Aerial; and Wyco Vibrators.
